Set in a quiet cul-de-sac, French Lavender is a modern home on two levels. The guest rooms are on the upper level, sharing a private balcony overlooking the garden and expansive 180-degree views from Manukau Heads, past Rangitoto, to Waiheke Island. Night views are of fairyland.

Choose from two bedrooms, one queen and one twin. Both rooms have views, heaters, electric blankets and an alarm clock. The guest lounge provides a separate spot for relaxation, peace and quiet, watching TV or listening to music.

Your hosts have travelled extensively, enjoy meeting people, have an extensive and eclectic library of books and CDs and a growing collection of DVDs. They enjoy visiting local restaurants and wineries as well as gardening and an occasional round of golf.

Continental breakfast includes juices, yoghurt, cereals, fruit, toast with preserves, and is served in the dining room or on the deck. Stroll in the garden, watch the birds in the aviary or the fish in the pond.
