Mount Hutt Ski Field

Nestled in the heart of the Southern Alps near Methven, Mount Hutt Ski Area receives some of the deepest, lightest, driest powder in Australasia.  Mount Hutt's altitude ensures a reliable snowfall, which lasts longer than any other ski area downunder.

Spring skiing is excellent and long runs off the Triple Chair make Mount Hutt a favourite with snowboarders. Wide, open trails provide easy learning for novice skiers.  Whether you are an absolute beginner or an advanced powder hound, Mt Hutt is the place.

At the base of the mountain is the village of Methven which offers a unique experience of apres ski bars and restaurants blended with the charm of a high country rural service town.
