This charming fishing village on the
North Otago coastline is world-famous for the fascinating Moeraki Boulders that sit on the beach. These huge rounded rock formations have been the subject of scientific theory and Maori folklore and are now a popular visitor attraction. Yellow-eyed penguins are another feature of the Moeraki coast, an area which also offers some lovely scenic walks.
