Things to Do in Morere

• Walks
  There are many forest walks ranging from 10 minutes to three hours. The Ridge Track takes a good two hours and takes you through the forest to a ridge covered in black beech trees. From here you will have stunning views over the forest and hills beyond. The 20 minute Nikau Loop Track is an easy walk through lowland forest.
• Birdwatching
  As you stroll through the forest you will hear and maybe even see a variety of birdlife including tuis, bellbirds and other native forest birds.
• Gisborne
  The first city in the world to see the sunrise, Gisborne lies on the sweeping curve of Poverty Bay at the centre of a fertile farming and horticultural district. The area has been settled by Maori for more than 1000 years and retains a strong Maori heritage.
• Hawkes Bay & Napier
  Known for its relaxed lifestyle, sunshine and vineyards, Hawke's Bay has made a splash with its world-class wines. Napier - its main centre - has one of the world's highest concentrations of art deco architecture.
