Set in the stunning grounds of Ormlie Lodge the market stalls will flow through the gardens and into the beautiful homestead. Relax and enjoy a fantastic Hawke's Bay spring day with a coffee or tea while you browse through the amazing wares our designers have to offer. We think there is a huge and diverse range of clever and creative people in and around Hawke's Bay. We want to celebrate those people and their products. The Hawke's Bay Design Market is creating an environment for local people to view and admire the many wonderful and inventive ways people are channelling their creativity. It is also giving them a chance to purchase "something different" that isn't in all the shops. Some of these are hand made, others are exquisite imported items but they all have one thing in common - they are not found everywhere. It is going to be great – we have around 40 handpicked boutique design, art and craft stalls selling their wares including children’s and baby clothes, bags, jewellery, wood carving, lamps, table linen, bed linen, candles, artwork, cushions, wall decals, mosaic, cards, gift wrapping, dolls and dolls clothes, hair accessories, Christmas decorations, furniture design, nightwear, notebooks, aprons and clothing. Set amongst the beautiful surroundings of Ormlie Lodge, take a stroll around their gorgeous garden. Make a day of it and get some Xmas shopping done. You won’t find a better environment to do so.
