Things to Do in Otematata

• Golf
  Try your hand at golf, at the local nine-hole golf course.
• Walks
  There are various easy walks close to town around the boat harbour, the lakes and Benmore Peninsula. These walks will show you more of the stunning scenery of the area - take a stroll along the lake front during autumn and check out the amazing colours of the trees as they lose their leaves. From the Peninsula track you will have stunning views across the lake and of the mountains.
• Cycling
  If you're up for something a bit more active than walking, the tracks around the lakes, wildlife reserve and boat harbour are good for mountain biking.
• Fishing
  The lakes and nearby rivers are great for fishing and have plenty of stock.
