Things to Do in Pelorus Sound

• Water activities
  The Marlborough Sounds area is a water playground with an endless choice of activities - go sea kayaking, sailing, waterskiing, diving, cruising, dolphin watching.
• Fishing
  Head to the beach or go for a cruise on a dinghy and catch something for dinner. The fishing is great and there are plenty of fish including blue cod, snapper, butterfish and tarakihi.
• Walks
  There are some great walks and hikes in the area amongst the beautiful bush clad hills. The two most popular walks are the Queen Charlotte Walkway (67km) and the Nydia track (23km). Both have a mix of camping and private accommodation available. The Queen Charlotte mostly runs along a ridgeline which is quite spectacular.
• Scenic Tours
  Jump on a four wheel drive, a horse or even a mountain bike to enjoy the stunning scenery of this wild area.
