Picton is a picturesque town and is the gateway to the Marlborough Sounds region. Regular launch services allow visitors to see many of the enchanting bays in Queen Charlotte Sound, and fishing excursions are always popular. Picton accesses the beautiful Queen Charlotte Track, with its magnificent coastal views. To the south of Picton are the renowned vineyards and wineries of the Marlborough region.
