Things to Do in Pukenui

• Ninety Mile Beach
  Ninety Mile Beach is popular with locals and tourists alike. This vast stretch of wild coastline isn't actually 90 miles long (rather, it is about 100km or 64 miles long), but it's still an incredible sight. Coaches regularly drive on to the beach.
• Cape Reinga
  On picture postcard days at Cape Reinga, the vivid green of the Tasman Sea and the cobalt blue of the Pacific Ocean make a striking scene.
• Kaitaia
  Kaitaia is the visitor hub of the Far North and the region's largest commercial centre. Kaitaia has a rich history and cultural diversity which includes Maori and Dalmatian communities.
• Golf
  There are two golf courses nearby.
• Walks
  There are spectacular coastal walks from where you can explore the beautiful area. Head up to the hills for stunning views of the harbour.
• Fishing
  There is great wharf fishing for snapper, john dory, kingfish, kahawai, and trevally, or big game fishing and easy access for boats. You can also go diving for crayfish or scallops.
• Adventure
  Go kayking on the harbour, sand tobogganing at Te Paki or horse riding.
