Minus 5 is an absolutely unique experience. Ever wondered what it was like living with the Eskimos? Ever been intrigued by how cold minus 5 degrees is?
Well this is the coolest experience in the Southern hemisphere! 18 tonne of ice has gone into the making of Minus 5, the walls, the bar, the sculptures, the seats and even the glasses you drink out of are made of ice. There is nothing else like this in Queenstown and it’s fun for all the family. Come chill with us in the summer or winter, rain hail or shine!
Season - All year round.
Location - Steamer Wharf next to the TSS Earnslaw.
Transport - Minus 5 is an easy walk from central Queenstown.
Capacity - To ensure your comfort and the ability to enjoy this unique experience, we have a maximum of 25 persons per session. These sessions have a 30 minute duration and we have lots to keep you happy whilst awaiting to enter the Ice Lounge.
Combinations - There is a family special for two adults and two kids under the age of 12yrs. We also cater for conferences and team building tours, please call Minus 5 direct for more details.
We provide - Jackets, gloves and booties for the Minus 5 experience.
You need to bring - No requirements, we will ensure that you have the correct gear.
Restrictions - Normal licensing regulations exist.
Additional information - Bookings are advised for the Minus 5 Experience especially after 6pm on most nights. However we will always do our best to accommodate you as quickly as possible and always with a smile!
Operating hours - Sessions commence at 3pm unless prior arrangements have been made.
