The award winning Forrest Graperide is one of New Zealands biggest road cycling events. It is set in the heart of the Marlborough wine growing region and traverses some the country most stunning scenery including parts of the world renowned Marlborough Sounds. It caters for every level of road cycling with a relay option around the standard 101km course right up to the ultra endurance riders who want to take on the challenge of either 202km or 505km. At the end of this epic ride join the limited field of 2500 riders and their friends for the 2010 after- event party with its unique wine theme that celebrates the harvest of grapes with 100 female riders being chosen from the field known as "The 100 Grape Crushing Virgins" to crush 3 tonne of Forrest Wines pinot noir grapes in a purpose built vat. If you are a returning rider from the previous year then you will take with you a 750ml bottle of pinot wine from the previous years event as part of your race pack or purchase one of this limited vintage if new to the event.
