Ever since our first wine was released in 1985, Nautilus has strived to make wines that are synonymous with the best of New Zealand, and our wines have been consistently awarded over our twenty-five-year history.

Come and taste them for yourself with our friendly and knowledgeable cellar door staff. Enjoy free wine tasting, perhaps treat yourself to a platter of artisan New Zealand cheeses and relax in the Marlborough sunshine, or in winter, sit by the fire. In fact, Nautilus Estate was rated as one of the “gold” cellar door experiences in Marlborough in 2009.

We are a family-owned winery and our grapes harness the different sub-regional characteristics of Marlborough’s terroirs. An enthusiastic winemaking team led by winemaker Clive Jones, bring this together with the best modern winemaking techniques. In 2000 our Nautilus Pinot Noir Cellar was opened – the first winery dedicated to making Pinot Noir in the Southern Hemisphere.

Whilst Nautilus wines can be enjoyed on their own, belief in the marriage of fine wine with food is a driving force for winemaker Clive Jones, as he crafts each into a sophisticated and elegant wine. Why not treat yourself to a bottle for tonight?
