Fly a helicopter yourself! Join Astral Helicopters for the amazing Fly Me! helicopter flight experience where you'll fly with one of our helicopter instructors and you'll have the opportunity to actually take control yourself. The helicopters have dual controls - two sets of linked controls so you can feel what the instructor is doing as he explains how the controls work. When you're comfortable he'll then give you control to actually fly the helicopter - a sensation people often describe as levitation. You'll soar over stunning lakes and steaming ancient volcanoes in absolute control of your own magic carpet! Flights are 20 minutes duration and cost $250 NZD including GST. Group bookings and special events are welcome.

We are based at Rotorua Airport - drive into the airport and follow the road to the left - you'll see the Astral Helicopters hangar next to the Skydive centre
