Built in 2004 to maximise lake views, Lakestay Rotoiti offers a quiet peaceful retreat, with both hosted and self-catering options available. Two guestrooms are upstairs in the main house with elevated lake vistas, even from one of the ensuites while the studio opens to a level grass lawn stretching to the lake shore. Guests have the use of kayaks, windsurfer and dinghy for exploring Lake Rotoiti and bicycles are available for the bike tracks and forest walks. A full breakfast is served in the dining room or sunroom and specialty vegetarian dinners are popular. Lakestay Rotoiti was designed by a prominent local architect creating a remarkably tranquil haven set amongst existing mature trees, ferns & flowering native kowhai and pohutukawa trees attracting prolific birdlife.

Lake Rotoiti is one of New Zealand's most beautiful lakes and is also renowned for its interesting collection of vintage and classic boats and your hosts frequently treat guests to a launch trip aboard their classic 'double ender' to enjoy a rejuvenating soak in some wonderful hot pools just a short trip down lake. All this and still only 20km to Rotorua city and its magnficent tourist amenities.
