Te Urewera Shuttle provides regular access for visitors wanting to enjoy the beautiful wilderness playgrounds of Whirinaki Forest Park, Te Urewera National Park, and Lake Waikaremoana. The region is home to one of New Zealand's Great Walks, some of New Zealand's best mountain bike tracks, and a raft of hiking trails, camp grounds, back country huts, and spectacular hunting and fishing spots.

  • Operates twice weekly on Thursdays & Sundays, and on demand at other times
  • Return service between Rotorua and Waikaremoana, stopping at Murupara, Whirinaki Forest Park, and Ruatahuna
  • Operates from November to April
  • Small, comfortable vans
  • Trailer for mountain bikes
  • Local drivers provide interpretation along the way
    • Departs Rotorua Visitor Centre: 8.30am arriving in Waikaremoana at about 2pm Departs Waikaremoana Motor Camp: 3pm returning to Rotorua at about 7.30pm
