Glacial Rock Cottages are situated on our farm down Tutoko Lane, a private sealed lane 4km from Te Anau. We are only 5 minutes from town, yet free from the hustle and traffic noise of Te Anau. The farm is terraced on the banks of the Upukeroa River and the cottages are 200m above Lake Te Anau with 180 alpine panorama; ideally situated for stunning views up the lake.

The two purpose-built cottages have been designed with your every comfort in mind finished inside with rimu; complete with heated tile kitchen and bathroom floors. Watch the wapiti and red deer, along with the highland cattle, sheep and Welsh mountain ponies grazing in the surrounding paddocks from your sunny window seat or the swing seat on your spacious verandah.

Our 70 acre farm borders the Upukeroa River which is great for fishing, horseriding and swimming. The cottages are centrally located allowing easy access to Fiordland's other great fishing rivers and walks. When we say seclusion we mean it; the nearest house to ours is 1.5km away. Tutoko Lane is a private lane meaning no through traffic. Just your cottage and one other. We are a 5 minute drive away from suburban Te Anau where there is an abundance of accommodation. Our cottages have no suburbia issues such as road noise, restricted views, lack of privacy and late night revellers. We will do everything we can to ensure your Fiordland experience is one you will treasure for life.
