Known as New Zealand's Rose Town, Te Awamutu is 29km south of
Hamilton and 15km from the Mystery Creek Centre - the venue for the region's agricultural field days and a major conference centre. Te Awamutu is also famous as the birthplace of Kiwi musicians Tim and Neil Finn, of Split Enz and Crowded House fame.
Te Awamutu lies at the heart of a fertile and prosperous farming district and has good sporting facilities, including three golf-courses, a racecourse and a floodlit rugby sports centre.
