Things to Do in Waihau Bay

• Fishing
  Big game fishing is excellent here from December to March and bottom fishing all year round.
• Hawkes Bay
  Just south of Waihau Bay, Hawke's Bay is home to more than 30 of the country's vineyards. This prosperous wine-producing region boasts an average of 2245 hours of sunshine annually. The twin cities of Napier and Hastings are the main centres, with Napier famous for its art deco architecture.
• Tolaga Bay
  At Tolaga Bay you will find amazing beaches, year round fishing and great walking tracks. It is famous for New Zealand's longest wharf (660m), which was built between 1926 and 1929.
