The WOW® story is one of true kiwi ingenuity. From humble beginnings in Nelson, the Montana World of WearableArt™ Awards Show has grown to where it is today, an internationally-acclaimed event that brings sellout audiences of 35,000 to the TSB Bank Arena on Wellington’s waterfront.
Visit Wellington between 25 September and 5 October, and see this event that is truly like no other. Artists from New Zealand and around the world enter creative garments that amaze, delight and enthrall. Words don’t do justice to WOW®, you really have to see it first-hand!
Wellington’s creative spirit also comes out in full force for WOW®. The city gets all dressed up, with street banners, billboards and ad shells. Shop windows are colourfully adorned for the annual WOW® Retail Competition, and cafes bustle with WOW®-goers morning, noon and night. Why not pop in to Floriditas, at the heart of Cuba Street? This stylish café is open 7 days from 7am to 10pm, and its dishes are based around fresh seasonal produce.
