Don't miss these great features: Mount Pitt Lookout, Norfolk Island Botanic Gardens, Bird Rock, Cooks Monument, Phillip Island, NatureWorld. We are located at the corner of Grassy Road and Mount Pitt Road next to the entrance of the Botanic Garden and are open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm (except on public holidays). The Park Headquarters hosts a natural history collection, developed in conjunction with members of the Norfolk Island Flora & Fauna Society, providing visitors with detailed information about the island's plants and animals, geological beginnings and more. The Park is very popular with visitors for bushwalking, birdwatching and taking in the many scenic views of Norfolk and Phillip Islands from various vantage points. Mount Pitt and Mount Bates summits offer extraordinary views across the island and are well worth the walk. The walk to the summit is a gradual to steep 1.5km-2km and offers visitors an introduction to some of the island's unique flora and fauna. Other views of the spectacular coastal scenery and many species of seabirds can be enjoyed from Cook's Monument and various locations along the north-eastern cliffs, particularly at the coastal end of the Bird Rock track. At Palm Glen a sweeping panorama over the southern parts of Norfolk Island and out to Phillip Island can be experienced with only a short easily graded walk from the carpark to a look-out where seats are provided.
