Come and enjoy the spectacular, unspoiled atmosphere of our Pacific-style resort on the north tip of Foa Island, Ha’apai. From sunrise to glorious sunset, you get the best of both worlds - an idyllic white-sand swimming beach on one side and rock pools and coral reefs to explore on the other. Matafonua has just 10 Tongan-style fales, all with covered terraces, electricity and wardrobe/shelves. Linen and towels are supplied. The separate male and female ablution block (with hot showers) is a short walk from all fales.
Enjoy home-cooked delights or choose from our well stocked bar, whilst overlooking the glistening turquoise of the channel and lagoon. With your fale just a few steps from crystal clear waters and 250m from Oceanblue Adventures, Matafonua offers a genuine paradise for those who enjoy diving, sailing, kayaking, kite-surfing (own gear required), swimming, snorkelling or simply relaxing.
