Listing Details
Anahulu Cave is situated at the village of Haveluliku on the Eastern Side of Tonga. It is a 22 km drive from Nuku'alofa and it takes half an hour by vehicle.
Very close to the International Airport Fua'amotu (6kms away, about 15min by car), for overnight travellers, honeymooners, tourists, and families who want to relax and enjoy the Tongan culture and warmth of the locals.
It has an underground swimming pool in the cave, which is refreshing and spectacular with its stalactites, and swallows flying around.
Anahulu Beach is around 50m from the entrance of the cave and is ideal for snorkeling and swimming. Tourists can have a simple lunch at the beach and enjoy a local beer from Anahulu Bar.
Anahulu accommodation consists of simple Tongan Fales built from coconut using all traditional building materials. The Anahulu Fales are tucked away on the calm side of the beach, there are no strong winds or high tide waves; and just a 5min walk from the beach.
A Cultural Dinner Show (Luau) is held every Friday through bookings and everyone is welcome to enjoy the traditional local food - suckling pig, traditional Tongan dancing and the one and only Acoustic Unplugged Anahulu Band performing songs to sooth your ears.
