The Hideaway, located in a tranquil coastal setting, was established in 1999 and is managed by locals Jeff and his son Taki. They provide accommodation, 4WD island tours, horesriding, bikes, dining facilities, whale watching and trekking tours and a range of other activities.

Standard rooms or traditional fale (bungalows) available. Standard rooms include queen and single beds, ceiling fan, private bathroom with hot water. Fale has queen and single bunk beds, standing fan, thatched roof and tapacloth wall lining, private bathroom detached from building. Room and fale hire includes continental breakfast, free transfers to and from the wharf and/or airport, complimentary coffee, bed linen and towels. In season, whales and dolphins can be seen from your bedroom.
