Weddings in Vanuatu
The romance, peace and seclusion of
Vanuatu make it ideal for a wedding or honeymoon, with great French-influenced food, air-conditioned bungalows sitti

ng alongside tranquil blue waters and the promise of total relaxation. Many properties offer tailor-made packages and most resorts will offer an accommodation upgrade for the bridal couple.
Special packages might include traditional wedding canoes, an authentic Melanesian string band to serenade the bridal party, and a celebrant. Services can also be conducted in a traditional Melanesian chapel with tropical decorations and a children’s choir. For something a little different, Whitegrass Ocean Resort on
Tanna Island can organise your wedding on top of mighty Mount Yasur – the world’s most accessible active volcano.
You need:
- Passports and two witnesses to prove your identity (one for each person).
You need to fill out a notice of intention to marry and provide copies of birth certificates, divorce
papers if applicable and passport details.
- The application must be lodged 28 days before the wedding day and both parties need to be in Vanuatu three days prior to the wedding date.
- Application forms are available from the resorts or from Connie’s Weddings & Photography
