Islands of Mamanuca

  • Mana Island
    Located 32km from Nadi Airport, beautiful Mana Island is the largest resort of the Mamanuca group, with lovely beaches, grassy hills and an extensive coral reef. There is good snorkelling. Ratu Kini Backpackers offers buget accommodation.
  • Malolo Levu Island
    Walu Beach Resort offers beachfront accommodation on Malolo Levu. There are bushwalking trails, excursions to local villages and cruises.
  • Beachcomber Island
    An hour by ferry from Lautoka, tiny Beachcomber (2ha) is a marine sanctuary famous for its 'tame' fish. Activities include snorkelling, volleyball, mini golf, fish feeding and cultural floor shows four nights a week. There is also coral reef viewing, windsurfing, fishing, canoeing, sailing, tobogganing, jetskiing, parasailing and diving.
  • Bounty Island
    A small coral island which is home to turtles, endangered birds and the rare native crested iguana.
  • South Sea Island
    A tiny sandy atoll with a small budget resort offering snorkelling gear, paddleboards, windsurfers and a catamaran.
  • Treasure Island
    Just 17km northwest of Nadi Airport, this 6ha atoll is fringed with a coral reef and white sand beach. Activities include canoeing, sailing, snorkelling, parasailing, mini-golf, volleyball and pedal boats. There is a 5-star PADI dive centre on the island as well as game fishing.
  • Navini
    Surrounded by a sandy beach and offshore reef, this tiny atoll has a small family-run resort. There is snorkelling, kayaking, volleyball, windsurfing, fishing and village visits are free.
  • Matamanoa
    Matamanoa Island Resort has 20 bures overlooking a beautiful beach on this small, hilly island north of Mana. There are picnics and trips to a nearby pottery village on the island of Tavua.
  • Tokoriki
    Tokoriki is known for its long, sweeping white sand beach. The upmarket Tokoriki Island Resort resort offers paddle boats, wind surfing, sailing, fishing, coral viewing and snorkelling. There is a resident PADI instructor.
  • Vomo Island
    Vomo (90ha) offers great beaches, snorkelling and diving. The luxury Vomo Island Resort also has a golf course.
  • Castaway Island
    Located on a small reef-ringed island 30km from Nadi Airport, the resort offers complimentary windsurfing, spyboards, catamarans, paddle boats, snorkelling, volleyball, table tennis and tennis. Other activities include waterskiing, jetskiing, parasailing, coral reef viewing and glass bottom boat trips. There is a 5-star PADI dive centre.
  • Wadigi
    The tiny (1.2ha) privately-owned island of Wadigi has a small luxury resort with use of snorkelling gear, kayaks, windsurfers and a boat. Ideal for honeymooners.
  • Malololailai
    Just 20km west of Nadi Bay, the group's second-largest island is home to the popular Musket Cove Resort. The resort offers snorkelling and fishing trips, an introductory diving lesson, and free use of windsurfers, canoes and row boats. There is a resident PADI dive instructor, and game fishing boats for hire. Other activities include nature walks, sunset cruises, parasailing, jet skiing, glass bottom boat tours, tennis, petanque, volleyball and a 9-hole golf course.
  • Namotu
    This tiny 1.5ha island lies next door to Tavarua, and has excellent surfing, windsurfing and diving. The small Naotu Island Resort is ideal for honeymooners.
  • Tavarua Island
    At the southern end of the Malolo Barrier Reef, this 12ha island is rimmed by stunning white sand beaches. There are good surf breaks nearby and Tavarua Island Resort caters for surfers.
